Liam Neeson movies?

Over the past few weeks I've seen three different Liam Neeson films: Non-Stop, Walk among the tombstones and Run all night.

While they aren't the greatest movies of all time, I think they're entertaining and also the Taken films, especially the first, were good action films that do not require much from the audience except sit and enjoy the show.

What is your opinion of these movies? Is Liam Neeson the new Charles Bronson?

I've seen the films you mention (except Run All Night I think, don't recall it) and I agree they're not bad films but I just don't think he's that good of an actor and even seems somewhat "out of it" on chat shows like Graham Norton.

He's the current action figure, no more, no less. I have a few of his titles in my collection.

He's worked his way into popular culture. Even my 10 year-old daughter has said " I WILL find you!"

I quite liked Run All Night. It's the best of the recent spate of "Liam-is-a-badass" movies. The other two you mentioned were pretty mediocre.

"Taken" has so maxed out the simple plot line, how many more can they do?

I have a hard time with Liam Neeson and Daniel Craig action movies since
I found out that both are militantly 'anti-gun' in real life. The Hollywood
"do as I say, not as I do" attitude is worthy of intense and sustained ridicule.

Why they are actors, doing their job, acting.

Craig's 'James Bond' seems visibly uncomfortable handling firearms onscreen. Sean Connery cradled that little
Walther he carried like it was his favorite briar pipe. If Craig is acting, he's doing a substandard job. Liam seems
like he's had some training, hence my disappointment with his apparent hypocrisy.

It's not hypocrisy, it's actors doing the best they can if Liam does it better than Craig just means he's a better actor.
You don't think that funny actors are really funny or tormented actors are about kill themselves, they are doing a job, working, putting themselves in character

I wonder if the trauma of losing his wife has caused to him to just take jobs that come his way, as a way of keeping busy. (Although I know that the first Taken predates his wife's passing.) BTW I think he's a pretty decent actor but these actions roles seem to have him on autopilot for the most part.
