To be specific, “Headquarters” and “Pisces, Aquarius, Capricorn & Jones Ltd.”

Is there any movement on these or are they dead in the water or simply stalled or, even better, being currently worked on?

I keep thinking they’re coming but maybe I should just forget about it. Love the ones we got.

I hope so, but who knows. I think they could certainly make a nice Headquaters set by making something not dissimilar to the sessions set, but with the NY sessions in (with vintage/vintage style mixes) and what not. No live tracks though. I’d love if this had a 45 of the mono mixes of All of Your Toys and TGIKS, like is was meant to be.

PACJ I’m not so sure. Plenty of remixes I reckon, and alt mixes, but we’ll see. I’d love a standard remix, and a bunch of alt mixes, but who knows what we might get with alt takes. Daydream Believer should also be included for posterity. The ideal 45 I’m not sure.

It would make no sense at all to stop short of giving their two best albums the box set treatment. An announcement is way overdue.

Well technically there's a third, but a Changes one is VERY unlikely.

Well I'd take a Changes box (if one were possible) over a Pool It box any day.

Makes sense to have a separate thread like this one. The other is all encompassing.

Supposedly on FB ... Sandoval has stated that the next Super Deluxe Edition will be released later this year. Next year, end of 2020, will be the updates, revised version of his book Day by Day. So maybe the other Super Deluxe summer of 2020. Others argue about a pattern in releases but no need for the big gaps. Let's keep it moving. I don't think the gaps were planned anyway. Sandoval just has been really busy with the previous tours and other projects.

That’s good news that we’re getting a box this year. Feels like forever since the last one. I’ve gotten the feeling the TV box didn’t do well and it put a damper on the CD box sets.

Probably an announcement in November? For a December release?

Good thing I got mine when I did. Seems like it took them a bit to sell them out. Keep those Monkees boxes coming!!

So nothing from The Monkees camp yet? I thought we’d get something by now.

Rhino seems to have a track record of not releasing too much at a time. The Vinyl version of Christmas Party and the RSD Christmas Party were recently released, and the live Mike & Micky Show will be out sometime next year. Hopefully, Headquarters Super Deluxe will be released in between Christmas Party and the Live show...
Pretty sure all the major work has been done from what has been posted in this forum over the last year.

They’re starting to get as slow as the McCartney Archive Collection.

I fear at this rate I'll die off first Lol.
    ... Seriously though.

Headquarters & Pisces Super Deluxe Box Sets, to me, trump all other releases as the most essential at this time. Finish what you started.

There was a Headquarters Sessions three-disc set released in 2001 but it is long out of print and not part of the "Super Deluxe" series in progress since 2010. Andrew has stated that any release for Headquarters would not be a straight reissue of this collection.

I mean, Headquaters could be down to a remaster of Mono/Stereo on Disc 1, with mono mixes as bonus tracks of period singles and outtakes. Then plenty of sessions on Disc 2 and 3, and the second half of 3 can be the New York sessions.

Been silence on Andrew’s end regarding these... I know he was cutting the laquers for the Micky and Mike Live LP recently.
