I can't get enough of them! Looking through this one has already reminded me of at least ten songs I haven't heard in a while and when I listen, will introduce more. I'll never tire of 60s music!

Threads full of great songs, let's have more of them...

I'll have to contribute. I think this is absolute perfection without trying to be. The Butterflys - Good Night Baby on the wonderful Red Bird label.

I like the Cass Elliot version of "Move In a Little Closer Baby" but I LOVE the Harmony Grass version.

    Speaking of Harmony Grass......

I got this record from my uncle when I was like 5 or 6, maybe 1967. Played it over and over. My first rock and roll record, The Rollers “Got My Eye On You” on Liberty from my birth year, 1961!

I guess it's probably mostly forgotten, but I like it. Ed Ames "My Cup Runneth Over"

I like it, too but this is still my favorite Ed Ames performance. Especially his reaction a second after he sees his >ahem< handiwork.

Barbara Mason "Yes, I'm Ready".... classic northern philly soul and one of the best of all time, imho. From 1965 on the Arctic Records label.

I'm loving this thread & I love how the OP started it with Spanky & Our Gang. My favorite song of theirs that isn't called "Like To Get To Know You" is called "And She's Mine" (1969), written and sung by their bass player Kenny Hodges.

Simon and Garfunkel Only Living Boy In New York. IMO Paul Simon's most beautiful song, and he has a lot of them.

Respectfully, no. That would be Bert Parks’ rendition in The Freshman (1990).

I have older brothers and sisters and this single they had might’ve been my first introduction to good music:
