A 4k restoration was done a couple years ago and has been availble to buy/rent on services like Vudu and iTunes. The first Blu-ray release will be in late May from Australia on the Imprint label in a pretty nice, deluxe limited edition set. Paramount is just starting up their own Blu-ray label “Paramount Presents” which will focus on catalog titles including War Of The Worlds which is intended for a 4th quarter US release.

Of course with what’s going on now, these plans can change.

Thanks for that. It's brilliant news. I much prefer the disc to streaming as there's a vast difference in picture quality.

Well, I thought this series started promisingly, but after watching the final episode I'm left feeling that it took a long time to not really go anywhere.

I binged Epix’s War if the Worlds over three days last week. Watching this nightmare of the end if humanity during the current pandemic certainly enhanced how haunting and disturbing the series is. I really liked it overall, and hope there’s a second season done eventually so the question of Why? is resolved. IMDBpro points to that being the case.

spectrum lowered the price of EPIX back to $5.99 a month, but removed the 'drive-in' channel. used to be 5 EPIX channels, now there are 4.

I just checked my DISH dvr, and sure enough, there was a new episode (Season 2) last night.
Fortunately my timer caught it and recorded it. What's odd is that the DISH guide info
for it says Episode 1. I'm guessing it incorrectly listed the episode as episode 1 of season 2 (??).

Yes, last night was the first episode of season 2.

It carries on directly from the end of the 1st season - but only for a couple of minutes, then leaps 6 months later with a bunch of changes

Remains a very bleak show that’s ok not great but watchable. Surprised it’s made it to Season Three.

Didn't know there was a third season. It's weird, but after enjoying the first season I've had no inclination whatsoever to watch the second. Should I?

The first season was the best so I would say don't bother.

Yes, watch season 2, well worth your time. I think is an excellent show, more people should check it out, it’s really under the radar being on Epix. I’m glad they’ve done a third season, and intrigued where they’ll take things; I suspect they’ll tie it all up and conclude the story.

I disagree. The second season had some intriguing twists and turns and season 3 went in a whole new direction.
