This poll has as much suspense as asking what are the most famous Beatles songs about a desire to hold hands and about seeing a 17-year girl standing there.

I picked Taxman vs. Here Comes the Sun but I could see the argument for either. Something and While My Guitar Gently Weeps are no-brainers I think. None of them would be in my personal top 4 but they are very popular songs.

I think 'If I Needed Someone' qualifies as one of his signature songs. That Rickenbacker 12-string sound was an important part of what he did in The Beatles.

Something, Here Comes The Sun, While My Guitar Gently Weeps. #4 would have been Taxman for me.

Other than Do You Want To Know a Secret, You Like Me Too Much and Only a Northern Song-----this is a fine collection of songs.

The same for me. More interesting would be his second most famous three songs from the beatles.

I found this remarkably easy to answer. And it seems a very large proportion of people voted the same way.

On one of Sinatra's live CDs he introduces 'Something' by ascribing it to Lennon & McCartney. Oh well.

Incidentally, Guitar, Something and Sun would all be in my top ten Beatles songs.

Signature, in my mind, means people (even non-fans) know these songs more than the others.

Anything other than "While My Guitar Gently Weeps", "Something" and "Here Comes The Sun" is just a vote for a song you personally like better.

Not on a live CD. Here's the real scoop, reposted from: The FRANK SINATRA recordings thread (Part 2) »
I'm hard-pressed to find any released concert performance where Sinatra failed to correctly credit "Something" to George Harrison. But reportedly, he did reference Lennon & McCartney at least once when introducing the song (Carnegie Hall, September 9, 1981), and it has since been blown way out of proportion, including in Harrison's AP obituary:

One of the greatest vocalists ever, Frank Sinatra, recorded "Something" and would perform it in concert, continually praising the song. Then he would credit it—mistakenly—to Lennon and McCartney.

Here is the quote from the AP news article which apparently caused Frank's unfortunate choice of words to propagate:

the high point of the evening was Something. Sinatra introduced the song, written and recorded by the Beatles, by saying, "In a sense this is a personal tribute to Mr. Lennon. Also Mr. McCartney."

Full article, as printed in The Leader-Post, Sep. 11, 1981:

Note that this was not an "early years" performance. The 1981 Carnegie Hall gig was at the same time as FS' final recording session in NYC for SHE SHOT ME DOWN.

Note also that FS does NOT actually credit John and Paul as the song's authors. It seems likely to me that the intro, as quoted out of context, does not necessarily imply any confusion on Sinatra's part. He certainly knew the song's origin, having met George and having credited him countless times beforehand.

There really is no other answer.
    It's not really someone's opinion.

Long, Long, Long may be my favorite Beatles song from George but that ain't the question.

It boggles my mind that WYWY has so few votes.

I had to vote for "Taxman" but had there been four choices, then I would have voted for "Something"...maybe his most covered song.

Maybe "Do You Want to Know a Secret" should be taken off the survey though because John and Paul wrote it.
