I was around 6 or 7 when my parents forced me to sit through the Oak Ridge Boys, Lee Geenwood and Ronnie Millsap at the Strawberry Festival in beautiful Plant City, Florida.

The first concert I went to by choice was Rush when I was 12.

I was 10 years old and I went to see the Dutch/Belgian singer Raymond van het Groenewoud. My dad was with me.
Raymond noticed me (I was in the first row), and whispered to me: "Isn't it time to go to bed, my friend?"
He was joking ofcourse, but during the show he kept checking that I was alright. Fond memories of that gig, my first real rock & roll show.

Less than 10 when I went to the symphony for the first time, 10 or 11 when I saw my first jazz concert (Wynton Marsalis), 15 when I saw my first rock concert (Santana).

I attended my first concert at 10, it was Liberace at The Greek Theater. The following year, I saw Michael Jackson at Dodger Stadium. Then, at 12, I saw Rush at The Forum. That's a pretty unusual start to a lifetime of concert going.

It was hot. Miller High Life. Someone from JB Scott Productions let me and my pal inside and under the stage. When we emerged BOC was on during a thunderstorm so BOC's lasers were augmented with lightning.
