    No interview with Deborah Foreman?

I had such a crush on her back then, in this and Real Genius.

Sounds like she has no interest in talking about that part of her life. She now does web design. Her web page contains the following disclosure:

    "PLEASE READ

    BEFORE CONTACTING ME

Due to a varying work schedule and time zone differences; my preferred method of contact is via email.

I will not respond to fan, interview or show business requests. "

That's a shame. I saw what might have been her last film Maniacs: A Love Story and she might be a little miffed that Hollywood lost interest in her. Ah well.

Not following this at all. So if she chooses to separate her business then that means she is shunning her past?

She did an extensive interview for Vinegar Syndrome and it was wonderful.

She also has done conventions for Waxwork, April Fool's Day etc and then there is this:

A quick google will show that she doesn't mind talking about Valley Girl at all.

Perhaps she had a schedule conflict...maybe it was a money issue?

For crying out loud this release is stacked. An interview would be great but compared with a scan of OCN...like really?

I really like this movie and am definitely getting the blu-ray. No new interview with Deborah is disappointing, though.

I always wondered why they kept the original credits that showed Culture Club Do You Really Want to Hurt Me. I know there was 35 mm film released originally that had the song intact and I was curious about where it originally was, and what it replaced. I love this soundtrack!

I am just glad that Men at Work got their heads out of their asses so the proper soundtrack is in place.

  9. Fan here!
I recorded it off of cable so many years ago. Good ol' VHS cassette lost to the beyond.
This would be cool to own.

I cannot push this enough. There is only 163 left and when it sells out they tend to climb to a hundred bucks on Ebay. Great movie to me and the image is fantastic. For someone that had a jittery DVD taken from VHS this is not going to get better. For a company that does porn and horror and that dabbled, but called this release into the sex comedy a "failed experiment"...well I just say it selling out says enough.

The slipcover is nice and thick with the raised "lipgloss" cover if you are into that sort of thing.

It is such a nice interview. I love her so much.

I've never watched the video release, but I what I taped off of HBO back in the day featured the CClub song in one of the quiet bathroom scenes during the house party... if I recall correctly.

I only found out in this thread that they removed the song (and others) for video release! That would certainly change the tone of some scenes.

Oh wow. That would be cool to know what all changed.

Years ago a 35mm print popped on Ebay and man that would be great to have that.

What you have taped is a real find!

If you ever get a chance you should take notes to solve some mysteries that a guy like me would love to know!

I wonder if your copy has any extra scenes??

Great movie. It's funny that Colleen Camp, who played Deborah Foreman's mom, is only a few years older than her in real life.

PUNK ROCK! I loved this movie when it came out, haven't seen it since then though. I'm disappointed that they didn't use the original poster with Nic Cage wearing a tie and vest but no shirt. PUNK ROCK!

My very first impression of Nicolas Cage was turning on cable just in time to see him yelling, "F- off, for sure, like totally!" at poor Julie. For the next couple years (say, prior to "Raising Arizona" and "Moonstruck"), if I saw him on TV, I'd always think, "Hey, it's that guy from 'Valley Girl'!" In some ways, I still do.

Speaking of, who on earth is the girl on that poster? It doesn't look like Deborah Foreman at all.

Deborah addressed that in the interview Genesim posted. It was the art directors ex-girlfriend. Some fan photoshopped Deborah's image in, and she printed up some and that's when she signs at fan events.

Would be a great poster, if it were Deborah.

Mini-skirt, polda dot tights, pumps and leg warmers - bring it back, ladies!

I want to like this post 1000 times.

By the way I still like Michael Bowen. Tarantino would bring up the line "Who else is there? No other Val dude can touch me" When filming for his role in Jackie Brown.
