The original 2 LP set as McCartney intended. Made to look like a boot.

Confession: I always kind of liked Bip Bop. I only blanch when he starts up with the “whip wop.” I’d probably rather put it on than Hey Jude, but maybe if I’d heard it a hundredth as many times I might feel differently. Sorry, Arnie! ;)

HOLY CRAP!!!! There is a glitch at the end of Love Is Strange where a fraction of a second is repeated right before the final chord. I heard it on the advance mp3, but figured it was just a screw-up in the transfer, but it's right there on the vinyl as well. Guys at MPL - where is the quality control on this stuff?? I mean, doesn't anyone actually y'know.. LISTEN to these things before they're released?? It's such a noticeable thing too. It sounds like a CD skip for a brief moment. WTF?!?!?! :shake:

Check it out for yourself (the glitch occurs @ 0:09):

The same guy that wrote Eleanor Rigby and Riding To Vanity Fair also wrote Hello Goodbye, Why Don’t We Do It In The Road, Bip Bop, etc. The latter type of song with nonsense, simplistic, or repetitive lyrics are enjoyable on their own terms, particularly when, as is the case with Hello Goodbye and Bip Bop, they are musical earworms.

I do draw the line at All Together Now, though.

I completely agree with one caveat; I also enjoy “All Together Now”. What does that make me ? :D

Does anyone knows what the early mixes of "Get On The Right Thing", "Little Lamb Dragonfly" and "Little Woman Love" sound like?
I'd love to know if this is the version for the unreleased "Get On The Right Thing EP/single" (in case such a thing was ever made)

I've said many times, I've never seen another artist so relentlessly, unmercifully, and outright attacked the way McCartney was! I heard the music and I thought then as I do now, they were out of their minds, so glad the people listened and knew better! I don't take the giant leap of talking about the power to influence culture because their opinions had absolutely no effect on me! I knew they didn't have a clue, and didn't know what they were talking about! I don't take it that far, they were just a bunch of guys who were totally wrong!

The man's music is way way better than they've ever given him credit for! So glad so many are enjoying these new releases!

Just to follow up on this about 45 minutes before it no longer matters any more because I'll have what I assume will become the definitive version of Wild Life - I got a hold of "Dear Friend" from the heralded "Fame" Wild Life CD today, and the cymbal at those points sounds nothing like the shrill almost-white-noise mess on my 1980s Capitol CD. So this was very much a function of the CD version.

Can't wait for the release, although I think I'll probably listen to Red Rose first since I just listened to the best song on Wild Life.

It's only noticeable if you are familiar with the song.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but is the glitch the extra bass note?

On holiday in Kerela, India and listening to Red Rose Speedway (orginal double album) on full blast what a treat. Bonus tracks on Wildlife are great too. Think Ram, McCartney 1 and 2 and Red Rose are my fave Macca albums....Would love to hear one more spontaneous album, Electric Arguments style he's still got it in him
