Glad I saw this thread -- just picked up a singleton front row ticket at the Scottish Rite Auditorium.

Would love to see a return tour to Australia, but I don't think he's interested in coming here any more.He used to tour here a fair bit.

Keep in mind he said he will be mainly doing songs from the four mentioned albums, but also some songs from the other albums as well.
I'm pretty sure we will hear "On your radio", "You can get what you want", etc... as well.
(Fingers crossed for stuff from "Blaze of glory") ;)

"It's Different For Girls" will probably stay in the setlist.

Except for the ridiculously compressed audio (even in the 24/88.2 hi-res), this is a very musically satisfying album.

I saw the Body and Soul Tour and the Big World tour and both were fantastic.
Both the shows I went to had exquisite live sound.
If Joe is still on his game it will be something not to miss

Listened this morning. And I'd heard the advance tracks. Joe's still got it. I've never seen him live, I may have to give him a whirl next time through.

Woh this one shocked me. Never thought I'd listen to a new Joe Jackson album again (haven't since Big World) but I listened to it during my workout and it's really good. Didn't know he was still doing straight pop/rock.

This might go some way towards explaining his choice to record in Idaho:

You might want to check out his last album (Fast Forward), as well as Volume 4 (with the original Joe Jackson Band, from 2002 I think). They are very similar to this new one.

Nothing can touch the original lineup, so glad I saw the them on the Volume 4 tour.

I had tickets to see Joe 10/16/82 at the Capital in Passaic.
I was greatly disappointed when the show was cancelled.

Nice enough JJ songs based on a cursory listen, but that piano sure is HEAVY in the mix. Joe's voice is intact when you can hear it.

Listened to Fool on CD last night. The word masterpiece came to mind. Alchemy is one of the best songs he's ever done. The voice is unchanged, infact the missus couldn't believe it when I told her his age. Great start to the year!

Cursory listen...not feelin' it like everyone else seems to be. Loved all the post-2000 releases up to Rain. Even dug The Duke, despite its near-universal hatred. Fast Forward didn't impress me, and this one hasn't on first listen. I'll try again.

Didn't expect to be saying this in January, but this will be hard to beat for my favorite album of the year. What a great record!
