Tried to buy the CD on Amazon but it's one of those "manufactured on demand by Amazon" discs that I've heard bad things about.

Any news of an "official" CD release?

Here is my Variety interview with music supervisor Mary Ramos that the above article quotes from:

I never skip an opportunity to share my dads Paul Revere and the Raiders story. His girlfriend...my mom....was a huge fan. He managed to get autographs at a show on of all things his draft card. Gave the card to my mother, went to replace his draft card and you guessed it....got drafted. This was ‘66, not the best time to get drafted. He made it through ok and certainly loved telling that story.

For violence, no problem. For blunt sex exclamations, probably.

LOL only Tarantino would use "Mrs. Robinson" in his own movie.

Is KHJ featured in the film, or do they just have the AM radio on listening to KHJ in multiple scenes?

The preview for the Tween comedy they showed before the showing I saw was way more offensive than anything in the Tarantino movie.

“Moonlight Drive” always echoes the spirit of those times for me.

IF my memory is correct - there’s a lot to remember- it’s the radio cuts, but I could be wrong - others feel free to correct me or add info regarding KHJ.

I looked at the CD there as well.

Question for anyone who’s heard the CD: are the radio spots segued into the songs? I might buy it if the songs stand alone.

If it's like the album as it appears on Spotify, it's about half and half.

I remember reading (probably in Helter Skelter) that the sheet music for “Straight Shooter” was on the piano at the Tate House murder scene.

I can’t tell from what I’ve read or seen - BUT - the artist is listed as Seger’s earlier incarnation- The Bob Seger System - so that may be a clue, Seger experts are welcome to clarify.

I just don’t get Tarantino. The trailer looks boring & his placement of Hollywood iconic locations in this film look even more trite; Musso & Franks, the Cinerama Dome, etc. Meh.

There is nothing special about this soundtrack. All tunes are readily available; make your own compilation.

How about suggestions for songs that fit the period/theme (Late 60s SoCal) that aren’t in the movie or on the soundtrack? I like a previous post’s mention of The Doors’ “Moonlight Mile” Oh, and The Beach Boys “Never Learn Not To Love”.

Why not just list alternative songs on this thread?
I’d also include the Buchanan Brothers’ “Medicine Man”
