The numbering is doing my nut in. What is NRT001, now we have ANIYDTB?
Why is that 999 and not 000 or 001?Why is BS 011???? FFS....
Is BOST 000 and RCFTD 001? That would make some kinda sense, except for the 999, which is more canon...

Also, why stop at GM, one of their weaker efforts? Why not go to the end of the decade with a fan favourite, Wormwood? There must be loads of material for that, and it does seem like there is a better break between that period and the more modern era that begins with Demons Dance Alone. I guess they are going by the "eras"

BTW, I have all but 006. No luck on a good price for that.

    phew...sorry

Where was it announced that the series would stop at Gingerbread Man? I assumed it would continue until the archives have been drained.

Me too. They might get more selective for the later albums, but I expect popular albums like "Wormwood", "Demons Dance Alone" or "Bunny Boy" getting the treatment. At least I strongly hope so for WW and DDA, ideally including the live shows for these.

I've been on a Hardy binge lately, listening to all the post-Rez releases. The sheer amount of music he created in that relatively short time span is very impressive.

I'm not going to talk about the stuff I don't really like, just to say there is a good reason he wasn't the singer in the Rez. His voice is truly his instrumental creations, and some of these songs and sounds are so well crafted, it makes the Classic Rez albums seem like practice.

I'm not sure how much more "releasable" material there is left, but I will happily keep buying these cds from Walter.

Not to mention the years leading up to him departing the band, which saw tons of instrumental versions of their albums coming out as downloads, intermission music, Night of the Hunters, Smell My Picture, etc.

As for the Preserved series, I’ve heard elsewhere that the intentions are to go up to at least Demons Dance Alone. This from an unverifiable source.

I'm hoping that they'll do something with "Whatever Happened to Vileness Fats".

The new release has given me a new appreciation of "B.S."

I have always loved every little lo-fi fragment they saw fit to release over the years, and "Hallowed BTW" was my very favorite thing on the Huddled Masses set. (The bootlegs were too terrible sounding to really provide any new insights or appreciation.) But gracious sakes! This release makes me feel like B.S. is pretty much on par with Meet The Residents; it certainly narrows the gap between them anyway.

Aha , Thanks. That's a weird system though.

Yes, that is all that is rumoured I guess. I suppose it will go to present day....

I personally think Gingerbread Man is one of their best albums, very excited to hear any unreleased stuff from the 90s period. I'm one of the few Rez fans who actually really likes Hardy's MIDI computer work.
