I ordered Mike love and got mike love. Thinking maybe the Ben folds lp would have been a better result... (J/k, sort of)
Got my $11 Al Green. I bought this 2-3 times when it first came out and all of them were horribly pressed and I gave up. Figured at $11 I would try again, hoping for a repress. This one was much, much better. Side two was pressed off center, but my trusty drill fixed that issue. Why companies take the time to master an album well and then use a company like Rainbo to press it makes no sense. Glad to hear they are closing. Great album for $11 bucks!
Thanks for the heads up. I’ve been curious about that recent Diamond Dogs reissue. Couldn’t pass it up for that price.

Pretty much everything these guys have ever done is top notch (I can do without Monomania). I've listened to Fading Frontier, Halcyon Digest and Microcastle countless times. I need to give the newest one another chance, as it never really hooked me. They are such a great band.
Interesting... I should probably go back and check out their earlier stuff. This one was nice, maybe a bit mellow for my taste, but I think clearly the main thrust of this current album is the message, and obviously it's an important one. I'm just not too much of a 'message' guy, that's all. Unless, of course, maybe it's Anna Nicole Smith saying 'Come over here because I wanna suck your face' Oh... wait a minute. I think she's dead... Hmmm... but, then again... Uh, well I guess I can uh, *cough continue that in the appropriate thread later *cough...
