No, if you watch it again, it makes it clear that he finished 3rd in the primary for the Libertarian Party. The Libertarian Party got 3% of the vote in the Oklahoma governor election. So, yes, he received around 700 votes in the Libertarian primary; it was a pretty pathetic attempt.

 

Really enjoying this but surprised the Aaron Hernandez Netflix doc from January didn’t take off like this show.

I've watched four episodes so far and this is really something else. The pacing and the introduction of characters is really well done. Like, you think everything is already crazy enough...but here comes Jeff Lowe.

 

Exactly. Same with modern news: they say 20% or so of truth. Technically they don't lie, but the resulted impression on public will be pretty far from a real picture.

As much as Joe and Doc Antel come across as crazy, Carol comes across as scary crazy.

Tiger King: Joe Exotic and Doc Antle are not a joke… so why are we romanticising them?

 

Just started, I have no idea what it's about I am about 10 minutes into the first episode. I will return to the thread when I have completed the series.

 

Tiger King is a horror show I don't think anyone is romanticizing these people. They're all completely appalling. I guess you could say it's wrong to be giving them any attention at all but pretty much everyone involved seems to be pissed about how they're portrayed. So it's not like it really glorifies them I don't think.

 

IMO, the series shines a light on them, like turning the lights on when the cockroaches are on the floor.
