Larry Coryell - The Eleventh House (Vanguard VMD-79342) 1974 recording with Coryell on guitar, Danny Trifan on bass, Alphonse Mouzon on percussions, Mike Mandel on keyboards and Randy Brecker on trumpet. Jazz and rock fusion at its best.
Different. That was my first time listening to this new remastered UHQCD but I was very impressed by it.

Outside of the flat transfer, which is different, I think it is better than any other version released by Impulse! on SA(CD) anywhere.
In January, 1956, Milt Jackson entered the recording studio with Lucky Thompson, Wade Legge, Wendell Marshall and Kenny Clarke. As usual, Savoy spread the session over two discs - Side One of Meet Milt Jackson and Side Two of Roll ‘Em Bags. Two weeks later, the quintet (with Hank Jones subbing for Legge) recorded the even finer Jackson’s-Ville and The Jazz Skyline. These are essential discs for fans of woefully under-recorded Thompson, one of the best of Coleman Hawkin’s disciples. Speaking of which, don’t miss Jackson’s encounter with the master himself on Atlantic.
I was actually thinking you specifically might enjoy them while writing that. I ought to thank you for posting so many AUM Fidelity releases on this thread. It finally got me to check the label out, and I've been having a blast listening through AUM's catalog.
NP Night Dreamer | Wayne Shorter. Blue Note 4173. I don't know what it is about Wayne's compositions I like so much; they're different from Miles or Coltrane but I like them equally...just in a different way. The playing is clean, with sometimes haunting undertones without being pure melancholy. If I'm working away, reading, or just puttering around it's great to listen to. Unfortunately I rarely have time (these days) to just 'listen', though when I have there is so much I pick up on that adds to the enjoyment for me. Almost Canada day, eh! Enjoy the day off, celebrations or what have you my fellow canucks
NP George Coleman - Amsterdam After Dark (Timeless) 1989 cd W/Hilton Ruiz, Sam Jones and Billy Higgins. Despite the title it was recorded in a NYC studio.
Have I said how much I love side 2 on this? NP: Horace Silver Quintet - Serenade To A Soul Sister Late 60's Liberty BN vinyl
@Sorcerer - Thanks so much for the thorough response on the Impulse MQA titles. I have an order queued up on CD Banq, and was surprised at low postage to USA ($10). Just dithering on which titles, though leaning towards: John Coltrane - Live at the Village Vanguard (UCCI-40004) John Coltrane - Impressions (UCCI-40005) John Coltrane - Live at Birdland (UCCI-40013)
NP: Sonny Stitt - 12 (Muse 1973 WLP) Just acquired this on Sunday, and hearing for the first time. Enjoyable, straight ahead jazz, played with gusto. Stitt's quartet: Bass – Sam Jones Drums – Louis Hayes Piano – Barry Harris (2)
Some of the best music ever put to CD. One of the worst systems to store a CD (I feel like breaking it every time I use it )
NP Johnny Coles - Little Johnny C (Blue Note) RVG remaster Joe Henderson might be stealing the show here as he sometimes does as a side man.
