What spooky movies are you watching leading up to Halloween?

I may pull out the old classics, the Universal Pictures versions of "Frankenstein", "Dracula", and "The Wolfman".

 

I watched Dark waters, 1993, directed by Mariano Baino. This is the first time I've seen it but i do remember the DVD with an enclosed plastic version of the Evil medallion. Maybe No Shame? I'm not sure.

It was surprisingly good and really did come off like something you'd see from Italy back in the day. very Lovecraft like with it's eerie island monastery, dripping water in the rooms and labyrinthine passageways. Creepy nuns and a Demon Lord from the deep. Fish and decay on display throughout. I dug it. Slow pace may bother some.

 

The 1959 Hammer Films version of The Hound of the Baskervilles.

The best Sherlock Holmes adaptation on film, IMHO.

- Rocky Horror Picture Show (1975) - haven't seen this extended cut

Watched "Haxan Witchcraft Through the Ages" last night, this was pretty damn creepy. Next up is The Lighthouse.

 

All The President's Men, Wag The Dog and as a palette cleanser, The Omen II.
