Due to the extended nature of Yes and it’s many and varied members off shoots and solo ventures. I thought I’d start a thread documenting any upcoming releases. I’ve got quite a few to get through already so bear with me here!

first up - and this has just came out is the expanded edition of Jon Anderson’s Song Of Seven. Remastered with 2 single edit bonus tracks.

This is the biggie coming up: Arc of Life with all current Yes members and past associated (Davison, Sherwood, Schellen, Jimmy Haun, plus Dave Kerzner).. Tracks I've heard are poppy but Yessy, like Heaven & Earth if it had been a lot better.

A lovely album, well-deserving of a decent re-release to reach a wider audience.

Even though Jon mentioned in an interview wanting to get SW to do the surround mix, unfortunately the multi-tracks were not found and the 5.1 is merely an upmix.

Went from a must-buy to a wait and see for me...

From which official source do you have this info ?
The last reissue by english label Voiceprint was a total disaster....

The Asia Reunion album box set. Great for fans wanting to pick up the whole set of reunion studio albums plus 1 live album - it’s only $25!!

I got this and I have to say the 5.1 upmix is very good. Not as good as a remix from the multis would have been, but better than some weak surround remixes. If it's taken for what it is and not for what it isn't- VERY enjoyable. And there's hi-res stereo. All for a very reasonable price. Jon's first- and arguably best- solo album, that's truly solo; all conceived and every instrument performed by him. A true work of genius IMHO. This is a worthy upgrade from the CD- or even the SACD if you're a fan of surround. Highly recommended!

I'm tempted by the thought of an upmix of Olias, in the absence of a true 5.1 multitrack remix. Can't the same be done for Going For The One and Tormato?

I know Steven Wilson is a fan of Drama so surely he could do something with it despite the multitracks missing!

Though he has limited time and he may prefer to spend what little time he has with remixes from multis as opposed to upmixes...

Really glad that Jon's catalogue is getting some attention, although the lack of interesting bonus tracks has made me less keen on purchasing.

  25. There just aren't many - except for Animation. The Twins and Spider tracks are well worth having if the mastering issues from the Voiceprint re-issue are corrected.
