Post a really good sounding record you love the sound of in the comments and tell me the label number,
For example, maybe try to post a record with barely any surface noise, balanced EQ or what ever you like about the particular record. Have fun!

Edit: I don't know if this has been done already, so mods can feel free to remove this! :righton:

I believe it is the "D" pressing version...
Albert King with Stevie Ray Vaughan, Stax 7510-45-D....Oh wait, the D is just the forth side of the two disc set...Silly me.

This is an AcousTech 45 rpm version APB 7501-45, #0417.
Great sound, quiet surface, enjoyed all around.

From Elvis In Memphis - First pressing (1969)
RCA Victor LSP - 4155 Rockaway pressing

Fairly quiet vinyl, typical 60s style stereo soundstage, but everything is EQd nicely. Honestly, its one of my prized possessions along with the follow-up album - also a first pressing, the twofer album In Person Live from the International in Las Vegas + Back In Memphis. RCA Victor LSP-6020.

    Donald Fagen: The Nightfly
    Dire Straits: S/T
    R. Stones: Black and Blue - Japanese pressing - Green obo, or whatever you call it with the Japanese writing on it and the price. Outrageous sound quality

Black Sabbath: NEMS pressings. Just Wow. Unbelievable.

Most vintage LPs sound wonderful (to me) - as long as they are M or M-.

I've got a handful of those myself. All very nice pressings.

I think what the OP had in mind was some in depth info for a stellar LP that you own and rave about. So I'll list all the info from my copy of Suzanne Vega's Solitude Standing. This is probably the best sounding LP I own:

    A&M SP-1536
    Side 1: SPO-5136-A-S1 ∆16112 2-1 DMM Precision
    Side 2: SPO-5136-B-S1 ∆16112-X 1-1 DMM Precision

∆16112 and ∆16112-X = Monarch delta numbers (I don't have a Monarch Matrix to decipher these numbers.)
DMM = Direct Metal Mastering, LA
    Precision = Precision Lacquers, LA

So, it would seem this is a very early copy mixed in LA, mastered in LA at Precision, and pressed in LA at Monarch.

  12. I recently got a Japanese reissue of Santana's "Abraxas" from 1977, and I'm really pleased with its sound. You can get an idea here:
