The first four Bon Jovi albums are a delight. I have some others, and while I enjoy a song here and there, they don't hold my attention like those early ones.

Last year's album garnered some strong reviews in the UK rock press but I have taken the risk on it yet.

Oasis and solo Gallaghers. To get up to three good albums, you have to include the B-sides Masterplan.

I mean, "Wonderwall" came out in the same month that O.J. Simpson was found innocent. It's older than the first "Toy Story" movie.

I would say so....I love the Beach Boys and even go so far to spin Summer in Paradise once a year, but they truly went from great (62-71), to good (72-77), to alright (78-89), to pretty bad/boring (92-96)....Thats Why God Made The Radio was a pretty decent final album that had potential to be wonderful, but due to disagreements within the making we ended up with a mixed bag

Some would argue that the Queensryche slow decline started about a decade before OMC2

I dunno... they were already getting a bit patchy by that time, with Amigos and Festival.

To be fair, it was mostly the legal entanglements that kept them from making new music together. If they had a chance to get back into the studio it might have been different.

    Prince.

Untouchable through 1988 or so, and then...

...still pretty good through 1995, and then...

    ...not so much.

After "Gold Experience", the highs occurred infrequently, and the albums got spottier and spottier.

    As did the concerts! :sigh:

It pains me to say this but...*sighs* yes, U2 have been in slow decline since Pop. They do still 'bring it' here & there but other than NLTOH, most of the albums are OK. In saying that, the fact they still commit to making records rather than just doing what the Stones do (i.e. endlessly touring) is admirable. I still hope they could pull out one more decent album like NLOTH and I did like good chunks of the last two so there is some faint hope. I just don't want them to be touring nostalgia act*.

    * the I+E tours didn't come down here which was a shame as the Berlin DVD that came out was pretty darn good. We just got TJT 30th anniversary tour instead (they were still good but I felt robbed)

If you include the reunion albums, yes, but for me Katy Lied and Royal Scam are their peaks. Countdown to Ecstasy is the best of the first three in my opinion

I hate to break the bad news but two of them are...dead. Kinda gets in the way of, y'know, creativity.
