U.S. Civil War Box of Cartridges w/ US Emblem
RARE historical item . Measures approx 6.5'' x 8''. Original, vintage U.S. American history :righton:
This model 1842 Civil War Cartridge Box is in very good condition, as it shows no significant cracks, flakes, or tears in its leather. The box retains the original US oval plate, belt loops, and tins on the inside. Altogether, this is a very aesthetically pleasing Civil War cartridge box.

Looking forward to this, although only the "Jokerman" tracks are previously unheard.

The cover uses the same photo as is on the "Infidels" LP inner sleeve.

As we know, the "Infidels" sessions will be a feature of the next Bootleg Series. :righton:

So here is a twisting and turning story. Much like Brian's "leaf on a windy day".

I swung by Half Price Books on the way home and I continue to be amazed at what people turn in and what it sells for. Picked up a clean, pop-n-scratch free vinyl box of Bruce's live 1975-1985 set for $18. Listening to it now while I write this. Astounding.

So I'm in the checkout line when I spot a copy of Brian Wilson's Imagination on display in the CD area with what appears to be some markings on the top that I know aren't on the cover.

So I immediately leave the line to investigate. What I find is a signed copy from Brian in silver pen. For $20! Of course I grab it, honestly not even caring what condition the CD is in because I have a clean copy at home if needed.

Upon further inspection after getting home I see it is a signed inlay card for a promo copy of the album set in the regular album. I'm not that dumb and see the different catalog number and go investigating. My thought was to get the actual promo to marry up with the signed inlay card. Plus this promo contains interview segments which I would like to hear and have anyway.

Discogs is always where I start and I find the promo after shipping for about $23. Ok Law of Sunken Costs, I've come this far. Let's do it. But Lo! Hark! What do I find for a mere $7 more for a total of $30 is a signed copy of the promo I seek for $30 by Brian in GOLD pen!

So in short I will soon have two Brian autographs in silver and gold, a promo I never had with an extra copy of Imagination to boot.

It's interesting what people get rid of at Half Price Books.

Congrats! I have the signed CD by Brian Wilson at J&R Music World-NYC in 1998. I said hi to Brian but he did not say a word to anyone as far as I know. But his wife Melinda sat next to him and did all the talking and was quite effusive and very friendly. I later looked up she was a car saleswoman before meeting Brian so she had the gift of gab for sure.

That's fantastic you got to meet him! Sort of . . . it's also a sad story. Brian's had too many years of issues and demons.

I wish I had the chance to see him a bit earlier in time live. Like when you did. I saw him maybe 4 years ago doing the Pet Sounds tour and he was in bad shape with his back. You could tell he was not happy and pretty much on autopilot.

Still I feel honored to have been in his company and am glad I saw him. He is truly a legend. Plus I got to see Al and Blondie too which is nothing to shake a stick at.

What a remarkable talent Prince was. Just absolutely mindblowing. I was blessed enough to see him live in 1992 and 1993 - two of the most sensational performances I've ever seen and, like many people on this forum, I've seen everybody! I just cried a bit watching this. What a terrible loss :(

    Yep.

I saw Prince ten times between 1990 and 2014, and I kick myself that it wasn’t more.

His three-hour-plus show at the Manchester Academy 1, in February 2014, remains one of the very best gigs I ever saw, by anyone.

I don't think I got to post this on here, but a few days before this album came out, the Talk Shop Live site had a live Q&A with Alice Cooper, and you had the opportunity to order the album then as well. Not only did he answer my question on the 1969 Rock and Roll Festival in Toronto (and told some great stories about it!) but if you ordered the first so many copies of the album there, you would get a signed one!

    Turns out, I got one!

It was re-released in 2018 with four brilliant bonus tracks which included a song, "Warmest Winter", written for her youngest son, in time for the Acoustic Christmas Party shows, one of which Joan and I attended. (The Apex at Bury St. Edmunds):-

Four, obviously - two signed and two not signed. :)

@mrjinks will know that the monochrome double spread is the booklet from the "Regardless" Special Edition CD. I've only just realised I've mislaid or lost my "Small World Turning" signed booklet. I don't know why things go missing in house moves.
