I’m still waiting on all my VMP 100 represses and People Under the Stairs I got in swap. Latter has shipping info but none of vmp 100s have anything so far. Queens of the Stone Age I know is delayed for next month.
I’m sure everyone got this email from VMP on May 6, too, but since folks are talking and asking about VMP shipping cadence, I thought I’d share it here for those who missed it: Hey VMP Members, We wanted to reach out to inform you of a shipping change that we are testing out this month. This month, we will be shipping out Record of the Month titles separately from any store purchases made, in an effort to speed up the entire fulfillment process and get your records to you faster. (Please note this may or may not directly affect you this month, but could potentially in the future). This means that you will be receiving tracking for your ROTM title(s), then starting around the 10th, folks will start to see tracking for their store shipments, as those start to head out the door. We hope that this test will allow more members to receive the ROTM titles around the same time, with store titles arriving shortly after that to round out the month of Vinyl goodness. Please let us know if you have any questions about this change, and we can clear things up! - VMP Team
How does the Sturgill sound? I’m still waiting for my Shotgun Willie to arrive! International shipping is just so darn slow at the moment I expect it’ll be a month before my copy of Sturgill arrives.
I assumed that my King Curtis is waiting for the mid May arrival of Night at the Opera. Is there any details on the Doors yet? Is it just a coloured pressing?
true, but they're so disorganized that i've been receiving my records in 2-3 shipments every other month for over a year now, ROTM or not.
Thanks, that looks promising. I have never checked out the magazine before, appreciate you bringing it to my attention.
This sounds really good! I have no point of reference; this is the first time I've ever heard the album. The deep bass on "Heartburn" is soooo nice. I keep turning the volume up. The back of the cover says "Digital Stereo" so I assume this was mastered from digital (and perhaps was recorded and/or mixed digitally as well). I also like the colored vinyl design, and the texture of the gatefold cover. $45 is a lot of money for an album, but I'm happy with my purchase - happy to be introduced to this music, finally.
I wonder why some people have received their King Curtis while others (like myself) have not had theirs shipped yet.
In general the ROTM is supposed to ship before the 15th of the month. I don’t email unless it slips past that date. Everyone seems to have theirs ship at various times, so it’s hard to make sense of when you’ll get that notification.
Yes there was an OG mono LP of the Doors it was the very first version I got for my Bar Mitzvah in 1967. I should have kept it.
