I originally ordered the Ormandy box from Amazon in June, and emailed the Sony rep (Ines Kindlmann) after I saw the posts in here and the Hurwitz video. I then cancelled the Amazon order when I changed my mind and got the Previn box, but then changed my mind again and re-ordered from JPC on the 1st of July. The order was shipped from JPC the next day, but has been sitting in a DHL Frankfurt centre ever since July 2nd.

It was sent via standard DHL, not DHL Express, so it seems like it will take a while to get here. I was thinking about starting a shipping enquiry with DHL, but not sure if it's worth it with all the shipping delays out of Germany.

EDIT: I just checked the AusPost tracking link and it finally updated today in Melbourne!!!

I got the Grumiaux replacement disc from JPC ages ago and so did others according to what they said in that thread, and I've had no problems at all with their customer service. Maybe your disc got stuck in the mail somewhere; overseas shipping seems to be problematic at the moment.

They never emailed me about the replacement CD was in the mail so it has never been sent. I just need to follow up and email them again.

It took me at least a month to receive my Grumiaux box. Looks like the US Customs was particularly tough with German imports ...

Daedalus I haven't heard it all.....

I was going to say( prior to seeing your edit) that the box could be in limbo and then magically reappear with a subsequent scan.

Rough day yesterday from chronic back pain, I listened to Mravinsky's Tchaik 4th, a couple discs from the Ravel Martinon set and Ansermet's Petroushka on London. Feeling better enough to post today so starting off the morning with some Gina Bachauer, a record I had thrifted awhile back but had yet to revisit. Some great playing here

I'm sorry to hear about your back pain. I had surgery almost 9 years ago. It corrected the problem, but the damage was so severe that I couldn't walk for three weeks afterwards.

[IMG]I don't have the foggiest idea as to why a CBS Masterworks recording ended up in this box. I thought CBS Masterworks is now owned by Sony but Erato is part of WarnerMusic ...

Even Liszt isn't so sure he can play these transcriptions! Mr. Marin certainly can, though.

thank you I am glad to hear it helped. I'm hoping this isn't that severe but sciatica on both sides is no fun, I've had a recurring problem since my early 20swhen I was filling vending machines with no regard for what I was doing to my body, it flares up every couple years now. I am going back to the doctor tomorrow

When it comes to Sciatica, it is equal opportunities. I learned it the hard way as office jobs can lead to sciatica as well when you sit too much ...

Spotify Premium. Senior moment-when I saw this on Spotify I thought it was by Respighi.

Apparently Barenboim's Berlioz on DG had its own unique art.

Stopped by the thift store while grabbing some ibuprofen, unfamiliar with the conductor but only have one other performance, the Mehta on London so I figured I'd take home this orphan and a few other strays. Does anyone have a favorite Schubert "The Great" I should check out?
