Unforgiven is pretty much a perfect movie. Tightrope is great.

The one I’ve probably seen the most is Heartbreak Ridge because it was alway on cable. Mid-Eastwood, but not without its charms.

You didn't call him Clint, or Clinster? "Hey Clinster, no Firefox 2, ok?"

“A man’s got to know his limitations” is one of the more underrated lines in Eastwood’s catalogue.

Called him Clint, as he introduced himself to me that way even though I obviously already knew who he was. I think he's since said he wants to do a Firefox Trilogy. ;)

Not sure what my most-watched CE films are, but incidentally, this weekend I just re-watched Unforgiven and Bridges of Madison County.

    Both fantastic films.

Clint’s voice changed to a raspy tone with this film.

  12. There are a number.

The Good, The Bad and The Ugly
    HighPlain’s Drifter
    The Outlaw Josey Wales
    For A Few Dollars More
    Dirty Harry

I also enjoy the interplay between Clint and Patrick McGoohan in Escape from Alcatraz.

Yeah, George Kennedy was really good in it too.

I even like his 'newer' ones - Gran Torino and The Mule. I have to admit though, I thought Cry Macho wasn't very good.

I love seeing the mentions of Thunderbolt And Lightfoot. I was lucky enough to see most of it ONCE on TV back in the late seventies as a kid and didn't manage to see it for real until the 90s or so.

Every Which Way But Loose and The Gauntlet were on betamax tapes in my dad's collection circa 79-81, he'd put those on anytime he needed to occupy my attention when he was busy, while staying with him as youngster. I watched them both sooo many times.

But the real answer (and I see it mentioned plenty in this thread so far) is Escape From Alcatraz. How many times, by chance, have I seen this film? well, it all started as maybe the first ever movie I watched on the brand new HBO (along with Alien). over and over. Add many other, random views over the years due to it just being on and watching it for the heck of it, including a few times in the last decade, and that's gotta be my answer. I wonder if this is similar for others who chose this one. It's not really even a favorite, but I do appreciate the long, drawn out, chill vibe.

Tough call. Based solely on how often they came on tnt, tbs, et al before cable really exploded - Absolute Power, Unforgiven, or In the Line of Fire. Of course even before that Joey Wales seemed to come up on the Sunday Night Movie or some such for several years in a row. Been thinking of watching Unforgiven again. Most viewed scene is the final one from GBU, which I watch with students in a film class once a year.
