Mothers of Invention "Billy the Mountain" From "Just another band from L A." 24 minutes of pure lunacy Also notable from the same disc: Eddie. are you kidding? Call any vegetable Magdalena
Well, one that I heard most recently (a couple of weeks ago) that is hilarious is "Surfer Joe" (long version) --- The Safaris
The Beach Boys "She's Going Bald", never fails to crack me up, especially the mock horror movie part in the middle
Joe Dolce has two. Before you scroll down, I´m not referring to the "Vienna"-blocking single, though I like that one as well. But no - my first vinyl album of his had two wonderfully silly songs - "Ain´t No UFO Gonna Catch My Diesel" and "Reggae Mathilda". The latter was not included on the CD, but the artist supplied me with a CD-R including an unmastered version and an alternate version. He is a real gentleman. And funny.
"Purple People Eater" by Sheb Wolley is also a winner, and Bobby Bare covered a lot of wonderfully silly and funny Shel Silverstein songs. Check out the two albums "Lullabys, Legends & Lies" and "Singin´ In the Kitchen".
After the world perishes in a fiery nuclear holocaust, this record will be the only remaining proof of Bowie's existence.
"Triple Baka" (triple stupid) by LamazeP. Lead vocalist Hatsune Miku, backing vocalist Kasane Teto, cellphone player Akita Neru. LamazeP is a master craftsman of delightfully silly songs.
"Chirpy Chirpy Cheep Cheep" -- Lush (I know this is a cover, but it's the first version of the song I'd ever heard).
