Always been my favorite. Here's why.

    1. It has Phil Spector. Any Phil Spector produced album is better than any non-Phil Spector produced album. Phil is a cosmic genius, a real titan of XX century music.

    2. It was a cool live rootsy post-The Band sound.

    3. There is no George Martin perfectionism here. The Beatles finally sound like a great rock'n'roll band, nearly as great as The Stones (who were of course 1o times better on every other occasion).

    4. The songs are so organic. Unlike the previous Beatles records not a single forced tune. Even the pompous title track sounds like a heartfelt gospel tune.

    5. No McCartney schmaltz. Every Beatles record was ruined by some cringeworthy Macca tune, be it Obla-di Obla-da or Maxwell Silver Hammer. The closest we have to a fully kitschy Macca is The Long and Winding Road and it sounds strangely charming due to Phil Spector's magic.

    6. Both George and John sound amazing here. Of course by the time of Let it Be sessions both outgrew the Beatles and were a fully formed geniuses as their brilliant solo careers would soon prove.

    7. The guitar sound. Of course the raw rocking guitar sound first appeared on The White Album but the guitar outbursts on tracks like I Me Mine are divine.

    8. Sometimes the sound of tensions inside the band adds to the great record. Let it Be is a fine example of this.

    9. I'm not a Beatles fan for many many reasons. Let it Be is a record which can enjoyed even if you don't like The Beatles or find them too occasionally cheesy or cutesy. It can be played after Let it Bleed or The Band's second album without any embarrassment.

    10. As much as despise the Let it Be Naked project non album tunes only add to the genius of this record. A few more songs and Let it Be could end up as double album nearly equal to Exile on Main St.

All that you say is true.

But still, it's lackluster compared to other Beatles albums

Not gonna argue with that. I'm a much bigger Stones fan, particularly lately. However I love Lennon and Harrison solo.

  16. Terrible album but LIBN is kind of getting towards mediocre at least.

It always sounded like 3rd rate left-overs only put out because the band had split.

Really? Because it goes against the local consensus? Whatever happened to freedom of speech on this forum?

C'mon. A bit of sincerity goes a long way in life. I get that some people find a kick out of trolling. A shame, though, as it has lowered the standards of public discourse.
