This has probably been done before (and if it has, someone point me to the thread). The challenge is to list a dozen albums with no "skip tracks" - a solid album from start to finish. The album can be a regular studio album, an E.P., a live album, or even a compilation record. You can go classical if you like, but that's not really what I have in mind.

There are more, but here are a few of mine that come to mind (in no particular order):

    1. Pink Floyd - Dark Side of the Moon
    2. The Beatles - Sergeant Pepper's Lonely Heart's Club
    3. Rush - Moving Pictures
    4. Porcupine Tree - In Absentia
    5. Steven Wilson - Hand. Cannot. Erase.
    6. U2 - Under a Blood Red Sky (Live)
    7. Miles Davis - Kind of Blue
    8. Pink Martini - Sympathique
    9. Fleetwood Mac - Rumours
    10. Talking Heads - Stop Making Senses
    11. Stan Getz & João Gilberto - Getz/Gilberto
    12. Boston - S/T
I could probably go on. What are some of yours?

The entire Beatles catalog except for the "White Album" where we all skip "Revolution 9".

(Obligatory Beatles post is now out of the way ... and correct)

Moving Pictures? Witch Hunt is dreadful, IMO. I don't like thinking of jazz albums for this, because I have hundreds of jazz albums and only a small minority have tracks I'd actually skip.

Two of the first ones to pop into my head. An additional 10 for me would be:

Beastie Boys - Pauls Boutique (I wouldn't count tracks like "5 Piece Chicken Dinner")
Built To Spill - Keep It Like A Secret
    The Beatles - Rubber Soul
    Fugazi - Repeater
    Green Day - Dookie
    Mr. Bungle - Mr. Bungle
    Nirvana - Nevermind
Oingo Boingo - Only A Lad
    Ween - The Mollusk
    Weezer - Blue Album

I honestly only know one song by Oingo Boingo (guess which one) and I don't know many of the albums on your list, but Nirvana certainly belongs.

Who skips tracks??? What's that all about??

I didn't spend £10 on a CD to skip half of it. If I need to skip some of it then its classed as a not very good album and needs to leave my collection

Apparently you (the generic "you", not you) only need to skip "Revolution #9" on that Beatles album. I don't skip it though, it still fascinates me.

Look's like a couple of votes for "Who's Next" which I heartily endorse. "American Beauty" is another great one. I could probably name a couple more Decemberists albums that fit the criteria!
