Clean first pressing LP's with excellent sound.

 

I own this set, not played it in a while, thanks for the reminder.

 

Unfortunately that's what I'm finding. Glad to find though that there are better sources than whatever junk was used for the CD I own.

 

Sadly, they have been using a very poor quality tape since the very first reissue, so a lot of folks have come to expect that the albums are supposed to sound like that.

That's how Charly have been able to get away with claiming that they are using the original mixes for so long.

A good comparison would be like taking "Sgt. Pepper" and turning it into the duophonic "I Feel Fine", and then deleting the original mix forever.
