"Some Time In New York City" is credited to John Lennon and Yoko Ono.

Waylon Jennings - Honky Tonk Heroes (an absolute country classic!)
Lynyrd Skynyrd - "Pronounced" (very cool debut album)

Those two are the ones I thought of straight away.

Hahaha, yeah, I know...I'm splitting hairs there, BUT it is NOT a John Lennon "solo" LP.

Anyway...I'd like to add Steely Dan "Countdown To Ecstasy" to the list of awesome LPs to be released in 1973.

    Hey Grant, killer avatar!
What a phenomenal version of That's The Way Of The World, and Fish Bite's got a bassline that Bootsy would have been proud of! :D

Cool! Someone who has even heard of this album! It is a very good album too. It was recorded in 1975, during his close association with Earth, Wind, & Fire.

Too bad Sony or Sony/Legacy will never release it on CD, so I had to do my own LP-to-CD-R transfer. It's very warm-sounding, too!

How about this: "Some Time in NYC" is the worst original album that features the work of John Lennon after the Beatles ended?

  14. Steely Dan - Countdown to Ecstasy (still my fave Dan album)
Eno - Here Come the Warm Jets
    Eagles - Desperado
    Jackson Browne - For Everyman
    Mike Oldfield - Tubular Bells
Neil Young - Time Fades Away (oh, to have this on cd would be nice)
