"kinda makes that jbl system look wimpy" i'm not exactly sure which jbl system you are referring to but the top line synthesis system is over $109,000 for just the audio equipment!!!! by the time you add the video equipment and room treatments, the cost ranges between $139,000 to $185,000..... i have had the priviledge of hearing this system in one of my dealers showrooms...(dedicated room 25 ft x 18 ft).... truly awesome!!!!!! http://www.jbl.com/home/synthesis/productlist.asp?SerId=Syn8&prodId=SYN-HERCULES
I thought my 1060 watt system was a lot of power. In a 10'x12' room I am a bit cramped. If only I could turn the living room into a stereo room
A friend of mine was invited to hear Dr. Burwen's system (many years ago) and complined that the average levels were so LOUD they could have cracked the skulls of small animals. He also remarked about the size of the "hawser ropes" that carried the electrical service into Burwen's home. Re: Royal Design room: I am rendered speechless. I wonder how many lunchless days it would take . . .
