    So the gold is when they've tracked down the original (verified) master tapes? Awesome - I have a copy of MoFi Gold "Surfer Rosa" from the Pixies.

    I have understood on the recent vinyl versions when the original master tapes are used the badge across the top reads "Original Master Recording" and when they are not it reads "Mobile Fidelity Sound Labs". I don't know of any exceptions for the more recent Gold CD or SACD releases.

    Sisters Of Mercy-Floodland which is on the silver line (Mobile Fidelity Sound Lab's) banner must of gained access to unreleased digital mixes for the lp, in this case I was quite pleased hearing a different mix being used, for a digitally sourced lp it actually sounds quite nice :cheers:
