Could this be a new Twin Freaks style record from Macca with remixes?

 

I don't know. I guess it could be anything in these days of reissues and "New" music and standards and The Fireman and classical and --- The guy is creative with music. It brings excitement..

 

It'd be so cool if Paul dropped a total-surprise album on us.

I'm guessing this is a Record Store Day release for April 16. I bet we are getting a full length album of Macca remixes

But I hope he's making the remix version of Run Devil Run, meaning it'll be an album with like 10 remixes of his classics plus 2-3 brand new songs that fit in with that style. Would be a great way for him to release a couple of new "Fireman" style tracks that may not fit the mold of a traditional "Paul" album.

 

I think that we will have a brand new Paul album very soon. Just a feeling

 

Don't start that "Coming Soon" stuff with me. I have a hard enough time waiting for the Flowers In The Dirt Archive set...

Well RSD is April 16. So there's that. Why else send out a promo now--and on VINYL? That has to be the release date of "something," even if it is a just a 7-inch single and the full album comes out weeks or a few months later...

If it was tastefully done I would buy it, I quite enjoyed Twin Freaks when it came out, I am more inclined for a new Fireman/solo album.

 

That clip seems very "tasteful" IMO...It's mostly Paul's bass and vocals. What's wrong with that? I'm sure he oversaw/overdubbed any changes to the original. This is exciting people!

 

Question: Was TWIN FREAKS only released on Vinyl (legally, of course)? I can't recall.

 

It was also available on download services (and it still is). But, yes, physically speaking, it was vinyl only.

 

IRCC Twin Freaks was vinyl only for a long time. It's on Spotify now and I believe some other streaming services as well.

That 1985 remix was cool, not something I would listen to as much as the original but cool nonetheless.

So what's this gonna be? Paul is laying out his carefully thought out puzzle for fans - reference to McCartney album, snippets of voice samples overlaid on each other, a mysterious white label with 1985 sent out..........

 

The inmates have taken over the asylum known as MPL, and this is what has been disseminated so far...

That's my take on the whole thing...

 

I seem to be liking the clip more with each listen. That thunderous bass!
