I think because Introducing Karl Blau is a covers album, it'll never get that much respect.

I still think it's great and one of the best of the year.

From the list I voted Blond

Mojo's top three is good but Sturgill Simpson's A Sailor's Guide to Earth deserves to be on that list somewhere.

This was a good year for albums but a terrible year for musicians. Three or four of my favorites are on the list and I could easily add a dozen. Odd year for music.

Me too! Of the albums on there, the only I have and really liked is PJ Harvey.

On this one I'm going with Dinosaur Jr. I see I'm not alone.

I have found this new one to be incredibly disappointing. It feels so lightweight and underwhelming. I love and continue to enjoy Indie Cindy a lot, so i had high hopes. I feel that this album actually deserves the unfairly bad reviews Indie Cindy got.

My favorites are the incredibly funny Classic Masher, the brutal Baal's Back and Tenement Song. I enjoy it a lot, but maybe Indie Cindy was slightly stronger.

Classic Masher is catchy and nags itself into your head, but it is really throwaway like most of the album. Bossanova was a bit lightweight like this one but it had absolute top drawer tracks like Dig For Fire and Is She Weird to kick it up a notch.

I went with Blonde in a TOUGH battle. Blackstar is incredible, but I'm really digging Blonde more

Esperanza Spalding & Angel Olsen are too low imho but that's just me.

I also think Beyonce's Lemonade is overrated (I liked her sister's A Seat at the Table much better) but again, that's just me.:)

Good old Pitchfork will probably have Yezzy back at number 1 the way the good Lord intended. And if they don't, there's always Complex.

All of these list have been fairly obvious/predictable to me as far as the top ten is concerned. Not gonna a lie though, I didn't see the 1975 @ number 1 coming from NME. I still didn't like the tracks I heard from the new one, and I hated the first one. Awful album title too seriously lol.

Sturgill Simpson and Drive-By Truckers are big omissions...

My favorite album of 2016 is not on any lists when I read all these things.

The I Don't Care's wild stab is my favorite. Love the Angel Olsen record also.

My favourite all year was the Bowie: Blackstar album.

Until Leonard Cohen's final masterpiece was released.
