I would vote but I do not see
Cheap Trick- Bang Zoom Crazy Hello
    on the list.

I thought the topic was to pick one of the listed albums and not complain about what's not even on the list. Am I wrong?

I had to vote for Thee Oh Sees - A Weird Exits as it's the only album I own on that list.

My number 1 is Opeth's Sorceress - not mainstream enough to be on that list...

    Angel Oslen.

Hands down best record of 2016 for me. I'm well stoked for her gig here in Adelaide in a couple of weeks.

Agreed - some excellent tracks but a fairly ropey and disappointing album as a whole.

Well, I certainly don't hate it but I was left pretty underwhelmed. :shake:

That's cool. But it's getting enough votes to certainly justify it being in the top 10. I think it's great and the work of an artist at the top of their game.

If The Lemon Twigs aren't on the list, I'm not voting!

I've only heard 9 of those records. I've got to catch up!

It wasn't even reviewed by either magazine but King Crimson's "Radical Action..." is absolutely stunning. In my humble opinion, of course.

I'm struggling a little with this album. The reference points tick all the boxes for me, and Shindig magazine have been raving about it, but the tunes aren't settling into my consciousness. Perhaps it needs more time.

I'm a fan of Bowie's music but nowhere near a fanatic. Still I voted for Blackstar because I still consider it a masterpiece.

Me too. She did a show here, but I missed it. I was so disappointed. I wonder if she has any plans to tour more in the US soon?

I was going to go with Bowie but then I saw Sturgills' Sailor on the list and went with that.

Honorable mentions - David Crosby - Lighthouse.

Luckily a lot of these are on Amazon Prime. That's how I got Black Star. The only one I popped for was Sturgill, then I went back to the well to get more.

The Hiss Golden Messenger record is really nice too, I may be more fond of the earlier Haw, or the one with Steve Gunn called Golden Gunn, but it's always high class music. There really are a lot of good records on that list, William Tyler, Angel Olsen, Ryley Walker, goes on and on. Great year in music, and the Uncut list only covers a tiny fraction of what made it great for me.
