I know it's available. I have a tan label RCA label pressing that I got still sealed a few years ago that sounds best of all and have owned other vinyl copies since the 70's. All of those have sounded pretty good. But the RCA CD is very very thin sounding. I know this album up, down and sideways and I just think someone (Kevin Gray?) may be able to work his magic and sorta "beef it up" a bit. God knows it would be a welcome release amongst all the countless re-releases we get of the same old stuff over and over.

    Pre-Ordered:

Bert Jansch A Man I'd Rather Be (Part 1) Comprising Bert’s seminal 1960s output (alongside his only album as a duet with Pentangle bandmate John Renbourn) this four disc set covers an era that forged creative paths for everyone from Neil Young to Johnny Marr. New listening notes from Bill Leader, as well as unseen photographs from Brian Shuel complete this special collection.

Lots of great stuff listed here.

I'd like to add this: A box set of unreleased Gerry Rafferty material. On Facebook his daughter Martha said she was going through the vaults and putting together all kinds of unreleased material, outtakes and alternate takes for a box set. Let's hope 2018 is the year it gets released!

And also: William Shatner is working on his Christmas CD for release next year. Let's hope that happens too!

    Hope:

Jeff Beck - Truth Super Deluxe Edition - I know we're getting an Audio Fidelity copy of this (which I very much want), but a super deluxe with the mono mix, some sort of stereo mix (original or remix by someone who knows what they're doing), singles, BBC sessions, and other recordings would be fantastic

Led Zeppelin - New Live Stuff - I guess we could call this rumored, since John Davis is definitely mastering something, and I'm sure whatever it is would be fantastic, but I would definitely love to see Japan '71. Something unknown would be cool too (basically anything would be nice in this case)

The Beatles - The White Album Super Deluxe - Also more rumored than just wishful thinking, I just got the Pepper box and think it's outstanding. The two discs of outtakes alone made it a worthwhile purchase for me (and was totally the draw, as I never need remixes and already had the mono). The White Album is probably my favorite Beatles album so a super deluxe with outtakes (Esher demos, 27 minute "Helter Skelter," anything else) would be most welcome. Side note: I also have a weird obsession with finding the original '87 discs sealed in the original longbox, I always preferred the two separate cases for this release for some weird reason.

The Who - San Francisco '71 - Nothing to say here other than that it's a great show (from what I can tell from what's available) and I want to hear it

Deep Purple - Made In Europe box - This has been rumored for a while and supposedly should be happening soon, but I won't hold my breath.

Black Sabbath - More archive releases - Much like Zeppelin, the Sabs are celebrating their 50th anniversary in 2018, and I feel like their vaults have barely been raided. Would love a release with Cal Jam '74 or maybe the two complete '73 shows that made up Live at Last. NJ '75 would be cool too, but the whole show is out there in great quality that I wouldn't be upset if that's not something that shows up officially.

Cream - Wheels of Fire super deluxe - Outtakes, complete Winterland '68, single mixes, other stuff, just put it out!

The Rolling Stones - More archive releases and New Studio Album? - Not sure what else is there, but I've been enjoying some of the "From the Vault" releases, as well as the Super Deluxes. I also wonder if they would do a TSMR-style release for Beggars Banquet, but that seems like less of a priority (especially since the mono is a fold)
