worth the price of admission for the Deep Elem, Blue Yodel and the excellent rendition of Babe, It ain’t no Lie. This has always been one of my favorite Dead-related releases. I only have the OG press on white vinyl from ‘88, which sounds great. Glad it was available again for folks.
Only BFRSD thing I picked up was the Bobby Gentry, excellent sound, Kevin Grey cut I heard. Excellent album all around..

Blue Frog sounds great. Dead quiet, nice and centered. I was dubious of this one, but they nailed it.

Can you say more about the music - is it prog (in the Goblin vain) or funky

It's super funky...total ear candy. It's obviously Goblin, but a different vibe. 8/10

Agreed. This was a completely random pick up for me, and am glad I did. .ORG has had some nice releases in past RSDs and they didn’t disappoint. The sound is dynamic and punchy, and the Overall snappiness and spaciousness of the 45 is startling, especially for a punk record. They did this one with care and it shows in the sound.

I dunno what I was expecting with this one. I guess I was thinking something along the lines of what Bob Weir did with Wolf Bros. Instead, this is four sides of a hootenanny. Meh.

Awesome, I'm a huge fan, too. The blue Rarities Vol 2 from RSD this year, is great, love it. I need to find this Some Enchanted Evening pressing, my local didn't have it.

Mine had some loud non-fill on sides 1 and 3, including a loud screech. It was unnerving, but it passed quickly. I don't know if there's an opportunity to exchange it or not. Other than those relatively brief moments, sound was very good. This was not pressed by one of the better plants, as edges to the discs are rough.

If you are a Lone Justice fan, you really need to hear this EP The Western Tapes, 1983 cut at 45 rpm & Mastered By, Lacquer Cut By – Bernie Grundman.
Omnivore did a really good job on this release, only 1000 released, so if you want one don't wait too long. :righton:

If you turn it sideways it will fit nicely in a protective sleeve. Too bad they didn't use a thicker card stock on the cover since that's what you're really buying it for.

Mamas and Papas, Side 1 track 1 has a clicking hiss
that starts before the first song, slightly heard during
the 1st track but then goes away.
Side 2 has the same click at the end of the last song.
Yet to listen to the 2nd lp

Someone on here mentioned putting 7 songs on one side
is pushing it. which i agree.. but these songs are like less
    than 2 minutes.

Other than the i think this release sounds really GROOVY.
    Love the green vinyl too.

I haven’t done a comparison. The sound quality on the RSD reissue is really quite good. I do have a black label Island pressing here with Sterling in the deadwax so I think you’ve given me a plan for tomorrow.

Any indication as to who mastered this for vinyl in the liner notes or dead wax info?

I guess you didn’t have the cd. I would hardly call this “hootenanny.” It’s acoustic roots music before that was trendy. It ain’t the Dead - and I’m quite glad for that. “Deep Elem Blues” is a classic. Just my opinion.

    Thank you :righton:
Is this the same John Golden that mastered Heart’s Dreamboat Annie lp, among other things?

Perfect pressing and it sounds fab. Know this album really well plus always loved the expanded Legacy CD set.

A-Square Detroit compilation from Third Man sounded good. BUT, they gave me two of the same records (Disc 1). Same thing happened to my buddy. Anyone else have this happen to them? I guess I can contact them. Surely, this is an issue with others out there.

I held this on in my hand, but $80 just seemed too steep to me.
