Ricochet is my favourite track off the album and I still love the whole album.
At the time it was a real WTF track to my 12 year old ears

    Any new "insider" information?

As much as i like to read anyone's opinion on each album, we are still out of concrete clues to speculate on.

"Offering proofreading services for future Bowie releases, to ensure such brainfarts as 'Trevor Boulder' and 'Forward by Ray Davies' are avoided, plus a plethora of otiose apostrophes and generally poor grammar. This isn't some fanzine or blog you're running, we actually PAY TOP COIN for this stuff!"

Apologies. I just checked, wondering why it had appeared in my Twitter feed. It appears the official Tin Machine account subscribes to it, hence I got included too.

If you listen to the recent Martyn Ware Electronically Yours podcast interview with Nile he actually says that Let's Dance was his record apart from the compostion. I think Bowie insisted he used SRV but that was it.

Yeah, he's been saying that for years...it's not tactful and probably not accurate.
Bowie brought his stuff and asked him to make it funky. Which he did really well.
It's still à DB album, and like so many others before it's not a one person's effort.

With Bowie dead, Nile is claiming more and more responsability for LD ( and less for BTWN , what a surprise)

Soon he'll claim he wrote China Girl ;)

Well he did already take credit for the riff on the Let's Dance version, for what it's worth. Story goes that he improvised it in the studio one day, and when he showed it off to Bowie, the latter was enthusiastic about putting it into the song.

Hearing the demo they released a few years ago, it becomes clear how much of the arrangement of “Let’s Dance” is really just a Chic track. So it’s easy to believe that Rodgers came up with the riff, too.

OK, WOAC is out, we're almost at mid-year, when are we expecting a press release for box 5? After BLA#2 is done?
