Son of the Morning Star -- one of the better (if not best) movies about George Custer and the Little Big Horn. It was a TV mini-series, clocking in at three hours & seven minutes. It won four Primetime Emmys.

How about that series of "Walt Disney Treasures" in Tin cases...not much has happened with all those B&W / Color Shorts: Mickey Mouse, Mickey & Minnie, Complete Pluto, Complete Donald Duck from late 90's and early 2000's...

Just a handful of Mickey Mouse were released on Blu-Ray on 'Celebrate Mickey'
and recent 100th Anniversary set Mickey & Minnie 10 Shorts.

The Night Before w/Keanu Reeves & Lori Loughlin. The only movie for theaters Lori starred in in the 1980's that still doesn't have a Blu-Ray for whatever reason. Back to the Beach got a Blu-Ray last August.

 

I think it is cute that there are people on the internet that think that The Abyss and True Lies are ever coming out on BD or UHD.

It says in that article that The Abyss is coming in March of this year. Looks at calendar...nope, no announcement yet.

 

let's say enough already...how many times are we going to get our hopes up? I'm sure you feel the same way I do! been hoping for this for many years now...excellent fun movie! Bill Paxton is golden in this...Indeed.

The Whole Wide World - terrific 1996 movie about pulp writer Robert E. Howard (creator of Conan the Barbarian).

Trick or Treat - fun 1986 horror film inspired by the “backmasking” nonsense and the PMRC fiasco. Ozzy and Gene Simmons have cameos. Unavailable on blu-ray (and streaming), allegedly because someone connected to Fastway (who wrote and recorded the songs for the film’s fictional rock star) is asking for an unreasonable amount of money to relicense the songs. Anchor Bay announced a DVD about 20 years ago, but canceled (because they couldn’t break even on it, it’s been said).

I would have said Dragonslayer, a great 1981 fantasy film, but that one just leapfrogged blu-ray entirely and is getting a 4K this month.

U2 3D - yep, U2 concert in 3D: I saw this during the ONE week it played in a theater in nearby Santa Monica, I loved this even though I’m not particularly a fan of the band. This should have been a 3D blu-ray, though it’s not on home video in ANY form afaik.
