Their in-store CD sale starts tomorrow and lasts over the weekend. All CD's are going to be 30% off and includes box sets. It won't include vinyl box sets but will include most sets that contain Cd's and vinyl (e.g. New Order's "Power Corruption And Lies).

 

Will the 10% member discount be applied over and above?

In looking at the deals, $35 for Petty’s four disc Wildflowers set is a good price, for anyone that hasn’t purchased it yet.

Last time B&N had a music sale, I called the local store to see what kind of stock they had. I was told they NEVER carry more then 10 titles total.

 

I hope they told you that they can order Plenty of cd's from the warehouse even if they don't carry them in the store.

Wow! What should have happened is if Barnes & Noble don't have a particular item in store they should check inventory in the warehouse and if it is there they should be able to ship it to your home for the sale price. I regularly have people coming into the store I work at looking to know what albums we can get from certain artists.

 

Plus free shipping if you're a member...at least that was my recent experience for a couple of items they didn't have in stock.

 

Amazon might be matching the prices.

 

The Motörhead-1979 box set is exactly the same price on Amazon ($122.49).
