Anyone have any of these sets? Really great way to pick up an entire series of movies. Minimal extras obviously but the movies are great!

    I have these ones

I went with "bang for the buck" collecting classic films so I may actually have at least 50. Not just WB either. TCM had a lot of sets too lots of old school musicals, noir, Bogie, Cagney, Hitchcock, Astair etc...
The Batmans I have on the separate discs. I NEED the bonus discs.

I own the "Batman" one as pictured in post # 1, as well as the "Lethal Weapon" set and one called "Elvis Presley Classics".

I also own one of them with four John Wayne movies, and one set with three of the five original "Planet of the Apes" films... There's probably a few more, but I can't think of them right off hand.

I love these and have many, and should mention the 4 film faves Colossal Monster bluray is the cheapest way to get King Kong (1933) on that format. Being a horror buff I own the one for Critters, Lost Boys, Stephen King, A Nightmare on Elm Street, the weird "Horror" one (with Coma?), and these:

  7. The Dracula set looks great on Blu-Ray.

Glad you posted the "Dracula" set-I own that one as well... Forgot I owned it until you posted it, because a lot of my DVDs are boxed up until I can get shelving for them...

They're a reasonable way to pick up all the Police Academy movies.

DVD - no way. Reducing bitrate to a quarter of normal would make it very low-res and pixelated. Blu-Ray is ok, especially if it is a dual-layer 50GB one. I have four Matrix movies on one Blu-Ray.

These types of sets often contain a turd or two but the Dracula set is solid and a great introduction to the world of Hammer. I've since gotten all of these individual titles on remastered Blu-Ray but this is a cheap way to find out if it's your jam or not.

I had no idea there that many Police Academy movies. Sitting through the first one was painful enough. :nyah: Wonders never cease.

I have a whole bunch of Harrison Ford double feature sets. A great way to pick up multiple titles at once.

I love these! I wanted to get into Lauren Bacall and John Wayne recently. Their sets were the perfect gateway.

I’ve only got the Harold and Kumar set. Since there are just 3 of those they added some film called Beerfest that I still haven’t watched and labeled it “4 Guy Comedies”

Do you mind if I ask? I was checking out the Superman set on Amazon as a way to get III and Richard Lester’s II cheap, but it says 2-disc set. Is that what yours is?
