Nice. Too much £ for me, though. And I do not even own an original vinyl of it. Just CD of that one - that's how much I ignored it, though.

BTW. I preferred side Ruth back then. And it was side Richard that I thought the weaker. Now I like both and I can't help thinking that when Wyatt swapped A/B sides it change the album for me. That change in sequence on the Ryko CD. I love the songs about cubs and brownies and the one about the 'major oceans'. The Richard side is every bit as moving as Rock Bottom.

I am going to stay away from the obvious & select a few somewhat less mentioned records...

1.Roky Erickson / The Evil One...a perfect blending of RE horror movie fixations balanced with some of the best hard rock ever recorded, with Roky's rhythm guitar driving it all

2.ZZ TOP / Tejas...their most diverse record complete with chicks, booze, boogie, C&W, West Texas outlaws & all capped off with Gibbons starry Texas night acoustic utopia "Asleep In The Desert"

Tejas & Dequello are IMO the best the TOP have ever been...

Tres Hombres made the boys stars to many (outside Texas) high school age teens during 1973, Tejas brought the Texas lifestyle to the world in 1976 & Dequello gave the band Super Star status in mid 1979

3.James Brown / Live @ The Apollo '68...yes the 1st Apollo record is essential but this was just as good

4.Ricky Nelson / Legendary Masters Series...this 1971 2LP compilation with 12 page book remains the definitive early Ricky Nelson package...

From Be-Bop Baby thru Hello Mary Lou & everything in between with not a moment lost, a perfect record

5.Fresh Cream (mono)...the sound of Country Blues juiced with Eric Claptons English electricity &all held in place by Bruce & Baker's crushing rhythm section, a awesome sound

During early '67 nothing hit like Fresh Cream or The Doors.Nothing.
