Wow. Seems like there are a number of residents here who have a VERY different idea of what "five-star album" means than I have.

 

Can't argue with that logic.

But, someone probably will.

 

Most every great 5 star album has been mentioned (London Calling, Pet Sounds, et al) and on some level I agree with almost all. This one hasn't though. It, without doubt, set a standard for power pop that has not been equaled.

Yes, indeed. I do like some of his later albums like Beyond the Shrouded Horizon for example. I didn’t think much of Wolflight or The Night Siren however. Of his 90s albums, Guitar Noir and Darktown are my favorites.
