what are your favorites? I was a big fan, especially Euro and Italo dance..... I still have several compilations from DMA dance, and with internet I realized it was a bottomless pit of that sort of music around that time...heh heh I remember trying to find the song (Ice Mc) that played in Trainspotting where Mark Renton moves to London, that was before having internet. Now it's all at your fingertips here are some I loved: Living Joy - Don't Stop Moving Billie Ray Martin - Your Loving Arms Capital Sound - Higher Love BG Prince of Rap - This Beat is Hot Culture Beat - Got to Get it Real Mccoy - Another Night Corona - Rhythm of the night Amber - This is your night Alex party - Don't Give Me Your Life Masterboy - Generation of Love Dr Alban - It's my Life La Bouche - Sweet Dreams Haddaway - What is Love DJ Bobo - Take Control E-Type - Set the world on fire Ace of Base - Beautiful Life
This music was everywhere when I was a teen. Not a fan, but I did end up watching most of the 2 unlimited videos.... for Anita. Guilty pleasure
a classic, I should be punished for not mentioning them. Same producers also produced CB Milton (It's a Loving Thing) and later in the new century Kate Ryan 2 Unlimited - Twilight Zone
one of the songs from DMA dance I listened to a lot..... Italo dance, I didn't even know there was a video shot for this Datura - Voo Doo Believe
I love most anything from the 90’s golden age that featured the incomparable Martha Wash. One of the great showcases for her talent was Everybody Everybody by Black Box. When that song hit the clubs back then the great irony of hundreds of clueless people dancing to what was likely the saddest House tune ever written was not lost on me. At the time I knew all too well what it meant to be sad and free.
This is my list. Euphoria, a fantastic collection of the subject. I love how this is mixed. A great collection of danceable tunes. Euphoria - YouTube
Though not their usual output, Stereolab had this great, lengthy Euro trance dance back in 1996, "Metronomic Underground"
does Cathy Dennis appear on any shows nowadays, maybe in UK? I know she co-writes some pop songs for other artists.... cute singer and I love that 90's pop/house sound Cathy Dennis - You Lied to Me
Early 90s was too early for me to understand the scene at the time, although in my later teens I was into the trance scene at its heyday in the late 90s, before I disappeared off into a world of grunge and rock. But I digress, let's get back to the early 90s and have a bit of KLF!
