    Steve,

    Why did they used to round off the edges of the screens so much on TV's back then? The "rounding" gradually went away over time and the screens eventually had real corners, but not back then.

    Thanks ... it would be neat to own a working '54 RCA CT-100 ... I'll have to keep my eyes open ... I go to a lot of estate sales and see quite a few vintage RCA radio/record player/TV combinations.

    Wow, that's a nice set! I have an old Raytheon from the mid 50s, was working until recently (need to replace some tubes I think). I also have a c.'59/60 Predicta Holiday, but it possibly needs a picture tube$$$.
