Just found out that A Christmas Story was shown on Thanksgiving and is on again at the moment.

Does that mean the movie won’t be shown for 24 hours anymore on Christmas Eve/Day?

I suspect TNT is simply testing out its eventual plan to just air it nonstop from Thanksgiving to Christmas. ;)

I own the BD so I can watch it anytime...but, for those who don't this is great!

  6. At least they waited until Thanksgiving to show the movie.
Plenty of others seem determined to show these movies beginning some time around Halloween.

It's been airing on Thanksgiving for over 20-years. The VHS I had for ages was taped off TBS in the 90s. It's actually a bit fun to watch just for the commercials since the movie is obviously far superior on DVD and BD.

I'd be happy if the Turner networks gave this movie a rest.

Why? I mean, do you have family members that tie you up and force you to watch it whenever it's on?

No, the restraining orders have took care of that.

But honestly, this is another cult classic that a movie studio exploited its status for monetary gain.
