Here are a few snaps taken out at RTI during the Creedence Clearwater Revival mastering sessions.

This first one shows me 'n Kevin in the AcousTech mastering room ready to cut side 1 of "Bayou Country". BTW, the original recording engineer of the first three Creedence albums was Hank McGill.

Playing back an original RCA cutting to hear what they came up with. The original RCA cutting engineer was Allen Zentz.

The fabulous sounding "Cosmo's Factory" masters, as recorded and mixed by Russ Gary at Wally Heider's in San Francisco, CA.

As you can see, the original title of the album was "Creedence #5".

Thanks to Rick Hashimoto, RTI's pressing wizard, for the photos.

That first pic looks like a wall of car stereo speakers. Was that taken at Best Buy?

Oh, and now I know what happened to the Celtics' floor.

What are the two components on the top shelf to the left of the cutting lathe?

Very cool. Next best thing to being there with the tapes rolling and the lathe cutting.

    Muchas gracias.

Just a quick question: How friggin' cool is Steve Hoffman?!

    :) :D ;)

  16. I'm drooling over the prospect of scarfing these puppies up from Chad Kassem when he starts selling them! This is the way to upgrade your CCR LP library if you really care about the sound.:D

    Ultra cool, Steve!

How close is S&P to releasing these LPs? When can we expect to get them on our store shelves? Are there any Gold CDs, SACDs or other goodies planned for CCR? I'm sure Fantasy would love for you to do SACDs ..........

    :D

    Steve,
That lathe tt has a mean strobe on it.

What is it that the cutting lathe is cutting, is it the disc you are holding by the stamper?

How many LPs are stamped before you change that thing?

It would be very cool if members had access to purchasing early stampings. :D Just dreaming.

    Steve!

Thanks for the pics. Nice room! Looks like a 5:1 room. Am I right?

Thanks especially for giving us the names of the lost Creedence engineers. These guys never got an album credit, did they?

It was kind of you to mention who they are. I know that you go out of your way to give credit where credit is due! This is the perfect example.

    Thanks again!
