How odd, those are EXACTLY the 5 titles I've got coming. I guess great minds do think alike!

With me it's probably the difference of a week in getting the first 6 and the remaining 4. I want them all and I will get them all. It's just that I was more interested in the six I initially ordered. I am also a big Copland fan but I have the Sony Single Layer Bernstein SACD of Appalachian Sping, Rodeo, Billy The Kid and El Salon Mexico. This is the version I listened to on LP over the years so getting it on SACD was a real find. I will get the LS version but I don't think it will be the one that I play all the time. That will be the one I get just to complete my collection.

Okay, I have some very brief reviews for my 6,000th post:

    1. Living Stereo SACD - Rubinstein Beethoven Sonatas Music A+/Sound B+
Great playing, genial and dreamy on Moonlight but passionate on Apassionata

    2. Living Stereo SACD - Resphighi/Reiner Music A+/Sound A+ Simply a reference SACD which blows away my pricey but still good XRCD

    3. John Mayer Room for Squares SACD Music A/Sound B, too much processing but at times John's guitar has unbelievable presence and natural detail. Probably could use a more natural mic on vocals and a bit more vocal in the mix. Still a blast of these classic radio hits.

    4. MoFi SACD - R.L. Burnside - Wow. Just Wow. Music A+/Sound A+ Real gutteral, earthy blues with dynamite presence. Wish all albums had this much presence.

    5. MoFi SACD - Lt. Kije Prokofiev, Slatkin/St. Louis Orchestra. Music A+/Sound A+ The Mobile Fidelity team does it again. The choral mix on this album is about as good as I have heard. Love it.

Soon to come: more Heifetz on Living Stereo, Cannonball Adderly in San Francisco.

I'm a very happy man and my stereo is sounding great with the improved acoustics. :)

I listened to the Copland and Chopin discs and can recommend them as well.

I also like the Arthur Fiedler disc. :)

Can someone tell me if The Planets was ever done in the LS series? Can we look forward to it on SACD? It's one of my favourite pieces. I have the Telarc, but find it a bit cold.

I certainly like it. Jupiter is especially dynamic and clear. :)

Anybody hear the Symphonie Fantastic Living Stereo yet?

I enjoy the Susskind MFSL SACD of The Planets. Sounds very good to me.

That makes sense. If it sounds good, save the extra 18 bucks you would've had to spend on the MFSL. You question just made me wonder if there was a reason to shy away from it.

The Susskind/Planets is great. I have the Classic DAD (stereo), but will probably shell out for the quad MFSL SACD. If you're willing to risk Overstock smashing the jewel case, I think they have the MFSL for about $20, including shipping.

Right, I guess what I am asking is whether there was ever an LP of it in the LS series, which might bode well for an SACD in the future.
