A nifty turntable that I've been playing with, the Thorens TD-160 "Super" repro from Vinyl Nirvana..

Nope. It came that way. Dave said he wanted to spruce up the look a bit and added the Thoren's logo. It was a great package deal on Etsy.

Thank you! I think I purchased it from Amazon but I don't see it on there anymore. It's a Pro-ject. Think this is the exact model :

Pro-Ject Wallmount It 1 WMI1 Device Console for Wall Mounting (projectwmi1) | eBay

    Pro-Ject Wallmount It 1 Turntable Wall-Mount Shelf-Audio Advisor

Congrats. Very nice table, I'm sure you will love it. I can't find a reason to ever replace mine, nor am I looking for a reason.

Great thread. I’ve always admired the classic Thorens tables. I owned a TD318 that I bought special order new in 1988 and it came with a tick in the motor so I ended up returning it and the shop gave me a refund but didn’t want to order a replacement. But she was a sight to behold and sounded great with a Grado X2+ I got with it. I have been haunted about that setup ever since. I like the TD 160 super better though and also better than the TD 125 I owned as well. Would love one of these restored beauts!

Dave sent this to me two days before I left on vacation then I had to wait a week to hear it. Talk about blue balls lol. It's Bloodwood with Tiger Maple inset. Can't say enough about this table and VN. Very happy customer as all have said in the past great tables with great company support. Now to buy more cartridges and play on!

    Tubes!! What's your setup?

That is a beautiful system you have set up! I also have a pair of Zu's. They are the original Omen Definition's. I plan on doing the upgrade to the newer drivers and crossover, in the near future.

Photos of the amp really stand out! I can see why you left out the tube cage. It is really ugly looking.

Hard to believe that this nice looking amplifier has about the ugliest looking tube cage going. What were they thinking?

I do love those 211 tubes and their tungsten filaments!

You look at that amp and it really doesn't look that big, but it weighs just over 76 pounds, ouch!

It seems in audio, by the time that you are old enough to afford nice audio things, you getting too old to lift them.

Ya I really like the sound of tubes.
    Line Magnetic 218 IA
    ZU Souls
    Thorens VN 160 Super
    Heed Quester MM preamp
    Peach Tree Dac It
    Ortofon Bronze

Really happy with everything at the moment. Setup isn't in ideal location but working for now.

LOL I know what you mean. Seems like 60 of the 76 pounds is in the rear with the transformers very awkward to pick up and dust under lol. Happy with the Souls. ZU is another great company. Cool dudes.

211? Not sure what you mean there. I have original 845 tubes with Gold Lion KT77 and Mullards 12AX7/ECC83. Would like to play around with all the tubes at some point. Learning the tube game...

Thanks for the kind words on the set up

Just thought I'd chime in with a pic of the TD-160 Super that I bought from Dave. I've had it since early January and it's been seeing daily use! I'm super happy with it. And Dave has been very responsive and helpful whenever I've had questions.

Looks like we have the exact same table. Is that the bloodwood? I also have a Vintage Marantz 2245, but that's not hooked up to my Thorens. What cartridge is that? I went with the Ortofon Bronze.
