    They just have a real knack for melody, don't they. Those early albums in particular are full of gorgeous songs.

    I understand your questioning many posts.

    With my responses, I made a distinct effort to apply the parameters described by the OP, in his OP.

    Those songs have given me goosebumps, and made me feel a sense a feeling of happiness.

    Since it’s his thread, I guess he’s assuming others are following suit, also....?

    Levi above noted Teenage Fan Club. Totally agree. For me, it's "Cul de Sac" off that same album. A song that literally made me pull off the road the first time I heard it on Sirius/XM.

    I thought it was some long-lost Association song from the late '60's - and I mean that as a compliment.
