  2. That's why you never pay money to bootleggers. It's 2019. This stuff is available for archive purposes for free. In lossless. Everywhere. If you have an internet connection. The days of bootleggers are pretty much over...and that's a good thing. There's zero harm in collecting something for archive purposes without paying some shady bootleggers a dime.

I wonder...maybe it's not the Hopkin demo that we're familiar with?

Well, Linda was there, so it's possible!

Yes. If it includes John's "Milk and Honey" tracks as well as a comprehensive release and best-possible sounding version of his Dakota demos. Every song he demoed at home 75-80.

This would be the perfect project for Yoko and Sean in 2020.

Ahh, Paul's secret birthday demo session at EMI when he and a very drunk George had a bash at Goodbye, Badge (called Bridge on the demo;)) and the elusive King of Fuh!!! You read it here folks!!!;)

Same. I passed on the 4LP White Album vinyl because I think I was a little bitter than the Esher Demos didn't get a stand-alone vinyl release which would have been a cool thing Apple could have had fun with color vinyl etc.

No matter the track list, I'll be getting the SDE box and the vinyl edition of AR50.

With an Atmos mix on the BluRay I wouldn't be surprised if we get another movie theater screening of the mix like we did with Sgt. Pepper.

Sadly, Yoko is not in possession of all of the best-sounding Dakota demos. Tapes stolen and subsequently released on bootleg; including excellent fidelity versions of Now & Then, Real Love, Free As A Bird and Grow Old With Me. It's a damn shame these four songs ( and many others) aren't in Yoko's tape library in better fidelity. Ron

I loved the stories my mom would tell about the mysterious flyers that appeared one day, posted all over her middle school in Salt Lake City (of all places) that simply said The Beatles are Coming. That was early 1964. That February Ed Sullivan episode was watched by millions and millions of teenagers who were brought to it by mysterious, seemingly meaningless clues. This is nothing new, and why should the Baby Boomer's have had all the fun 55 years ago?

  14. I guess I just couldn't hold out for the big anniversary set.

    1987 CD issue.

The songs had been in the charts for quite a while and the album had been out for a few weeks, they weren't so mysterious by the time the Sullivan show aired.

I predict a weekend press release. And thus I start my hiatus. No abbey road material till September. (Wish me luck)

22 uk singles. And 1 was dismissed by Mike. The 23 units noted as comprising the release may include the book. Yes, I agree with Mike. Not really that exciting for me. And no doubt bloody expensive.
