Are you certain that the vinyl isn't taken from high res masters, because accusing a label of putting CD to wax is a pretty serious accusation.

    Indeed. But not uncommon unfortunately.

I've seen quite a few Two Virgins LPs (the recent reissue) in stores and each time it has the brown bag over the cover.

Oh, I'm aware, but I just want to verify that the Yoko LPs are, in fact, but from CD masters instead of high res.

Even the other 3 thought that cover was an embarrassment. How did Ringo put it?

But he showed me the cover and I pointed to the 'Times': 'Oh, you've even got the Times in it...' as if he didn't have his d*** hanging out.

Follow the clues of the mastering.. And that should give a good indication

I mean, this would be the most awkward thing you can do to a friend. Show him in person a photo of you and your lady naked! John was out there man! In more ways than one.

I was actually interested in them :hide: and hoped for more. I would’ve been into a hi-res version, I would’ve been into AAA vinyl… we got neither of those things, so that’s disappointing enough for me, but to market them as remastered and then issue digital clones of the same CD I’ve had for ages really rubbed me the wrong way

If they had hi-res masters, why weren’t they used in the preparation of the CDs/downloads as well?

It’s also a pretty serious claim to say something was remastered and then re-sell the exact same thing that you were sold 20+ years ago

Oh, absolutely, not disagreeing with you there. I was just wondering if you had some sort of verification beyond just saying "well they used the old master on the CD." I only ask because I have the POB and Fly reissues and they sound really great.

Must have been a return or something because, as others have noted, the recent reissue was in a brown bag, just like the original...

Why? It's just two humans in their natural state, not like it's porn or something. I hope the next generation throws off some of the prudishness about the human body.

Well, since I in no shape or form have ever worked in the entertainment/ music industry
At this point, deleting the post would achieve nothing. They already know about the post and that it came from here as well as the other mentions and what member posted it.

I think even they know that you can’t put the cat back in the bag

All I can say is that all indications point to the 90’s era 16/44.1 masters as the basis for whatever they did (or didn’t) do with these albums
I wasn’t in the studio with them, probably nobody active in this thread was, so nobody but SC can say for sure. And even then, we can only take their claims at face value... which hasn’t worked out so well up to this point. But if they wish to publicly refute my claims, I welcome it! Who knows, maybe they’ll even make a customer out of me :)

“Where did we lose the touch, that seemed to mean so much”?

Sometimes repeating the middle eight isn’t always the best option - leave them wanting more.
