    It is $800 though.
    But that doesn’t bother me.
    Like any audio decision.
Am I getting the most for my money?
It is an older DAC. From 2015.
Will Marantz make a new one in a year and me feel dumber than nails?
Are there better ones out there for the money?

I’m really bad at buying stuff. Lol.

I want to get this first then get the rest of the system later.

I want the DAC for my CDs and TIDAL. I don’t care about streaming. Pfft my house is small

Should I ease into this and buy something cheaper?

I'd look at a Schiit multibit DAC. The Bifrost MB (Bimby) is about $600. Or your can buy a Gungnir DS DAC used and save up to get it upgraded to a Gumby. Tidal IS streaming.

But Tidal IS streaming? Not sure what you mean there.

I just meant I don’t care for it to be wireless. My bad.

Love mine to drive the Senn HD650. Very versatile.

I was on the fence a few times with this DAC but never pulled the trigger. I still use the DAC of my Parasound Halo Integrated.

I love the look of those. Unfortunately I have no need for another DAC. Enjoy your new unit!
